Herb and Margo Stead will host Coffee Hour following our service this morning.
The first choir rehearsal for the season is on Thursday, Sept. 9th at 7:30 p.m. New voices are needed.SAVE THE DATE!! The annual Fall Festival Festival and Craft Fair is October 16, 2010 (rain date 10/23/10) from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Please plan on joining us! It's a fun day! We could also use volunteers to help with set up, clean up, serving and selling food and baked goods and in our child activity area. If you have old, stained, worn child clothes we could use them for our scarecrows. We also need volunteers to hang signs the week before the fair. If you or anyone you know would like to rent a table you can call the church office at 265-4520 or go to the church web site www.St.thomasofcanterbury.net for more information and an application. Please see Debbie Jordan, Debbie Fifer, Alexis Nagowski, Gail Burstein or Nancy Esposito to volunteer.
The YPF will have its first meeting of the school year on Sunday, September 19th at 7 p.m. YPF is for children in grades 7 through 12. They do activities that combine learning, fun, fellowship, faithful service, and commitment to the community.
Sunday school registration for children ages 3 and up can be done online here!
Sunday School is offered for no fee by St. Thomas volunteers and is held every week during the school year. Classes start at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays in the Parish hall.
St. Francis Day/Blessing of All Animals will be held on Sunday, September 26th at 3 p.m. on the church lawn or in the parish hall if it rains. All of God’s people and all creatures great and small are welcome.
Sunday School begins Sept. 12th at 9:45 a.m. Teachers are needed. A commitment of once a month is required and our veteran teachers will be available to assist and provide guidance to you. Please contact Pat Reynolds or call Jill in the office if you are interested
Parish Family BBQ – Sept. 12th following our 10 a.m. service. Everyone is welcome. (On Sept. 12th there will be only one service at 10 a.m.)
F.Y.I. –There are several copies of The Book of Common Prayer in large
print at the ushers’ table at the back of the church.
If you are visiting us and are interested in becoming a member of our church, please fill out a Welcome Card located at the end of each pew.
The bookstore, located in our annex, will be open on Saturdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning June 12th. Stop by and check out the huge selection of books; tell your friends too. We need volunteers to man the bookstore. If you can help out, let Madeline Porter or Jill know.

Protestant Campus Ministry is inviting everybody to a Pastor’s Chili Cook-off called HOTTER THAN THOU! Pastors from several churches will be vying for the coveted Golden Spoon Award. There’s no charge, but you’ll want to have some cash to vote for your preference. September 17th at 5:30 p.m. at the Setauket Presbyterian Church. If you plan on attending, call Sue Krall at 862-6563.
Quilting Club will meet Monday September 20th and 27th at 4:15 p.m.
